Rainbow Special Interest Group (SIG) is a network of international educators, originally founded in 1993 as a special interest group of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, whose goals are to counsel LGBTQIA+ international and study abroad students; to support LGBTQIA+ professionals in the field; to combat homophobia, heterosexism, and transphobia within the field; and to increase access to study abroad for LGBTQIA+ students through fundraising and partnerships.
